Intel Turbo Boost Overclocking Not Working

Hi everyone, I have an Acer Aspire 7745g laptop, 8gb ram, ati 5650m graphics card, and an i5 460M dual core with hyperthreading, clock speed 2.53 ghz and Windows 7 64 bit
When playing games like BF3, I notice that the processor is close to 100%, usually between 90% and sometimes going to 100%. I was wondering why Intel Turbo boost never kicks in, it says with turbo boost my cpu can go up to 2.8 ghz, but it always stays at 2.53 whenever I check on the turbo boost monitor

On tasks that are other than gaming (e.g. web browsing, encoding videos), does your Turbo Boost activate? If so, your CPU temperature is probably hot during gaming, and by design when a certain core temperature is reached during load (around 80-85 deg Celcius for example), Turbo boost deactivates to reduce heat.

Do you have the Turbo Boost driver installed? If not go here and scroll down to the driver, download and install it. Make sure this is for your computer.

First of all, I definitely have the turbo driver installed, as I installed it manually myself. Secondly, yes, my gpu and cpu easily reach low to mid 80's degrees Celsius while playing BF3, even with a cooling pad and laptop fan set to highest speed.
I know my rig is not designed for playing BF3, especially being a laptop, but is there any other ways to clock my cpu while not getting a big raise in temperature? Once my cpu or gpu reaches high 80's to low 90's, performance starts stuttering unbearably, usually followed by an auto shutdown a minute or two later if I don't use a cooling pad.

Your laptop is talking to you. You should listen and understand. Your laptop does not want to become a toaster. No you can't work a CPU or a GPU harder without creating more heat. I don't care if it's a PC, laptop or something you made in a shoe box. That is a given. Some things one can do.
1. Don't work it so hard their for not creating so much heat.
2. Improve the cooling so the computer can dissipate (remove) the extra heat. Run cooler under the extra load.
3. See rules 1 and 2.
If you Google, Laptop Cooling you will find dozens and dozens of methods to improve the cooling of laptops.

I understand BF3 is VERY GPU and CPU intensive. If you could overclock anything you would generate more heat faster. This may lead to a shut down which is catastrophic.
