Intel Will No Longer Be Supporting PCI.

Starting next year, with H77, Z75, and the Z77 chipsets, Intel will no longer include a PCI controller on their chipsets. After 20 years of service the end of PCI is coming of age.

Why finally??? Many people have not moved into the Now generation and for them there is still a need for PCI slots. I'm sure for the people that have the latest and greatest equipment there is no need, but you are in the minority.

I have a Linksys WMP600N and a Linksys WMP300N. Both are PCI and they work great.

I am not looking forward (happily) to buying 2 new TV Tuner Cards just to get PCIe.
But it is what it is and that's all there is.

It'll be 4 years, at least, before my current flagship PC gets demoted to PVR status !
