Intermittent 0x116 BSOD

I've been getting this BSOD intermittently (3 or 4 times over the past several months)

Attached is the pertinent data for today;s crash.

I am going to upgrade to a different AMD ATi video card shortly, so it would be nice to know what if anything concerning the current video card/driver is at fault, if it is indeed the card /driver.

Your ATI driver was related. To ensure a perfect reinstallation without leftover, we have a little procedure to, in fact, avoid these leftovers. If you have any questions or doubts about the guide, let me know. One of the questions you might ask is that, why do I need to reboot in offline? It's the matter of fact that Windows 7 will reinstall their recommendation choose of drivers. We don't want that at all.

i) Make your way to ATI Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers
ii) Uninstall the one you currently have and all its extensions
iii) Download Driver Sweeper
iv) Get to safe mode (without network) and search for Driver Sweeper in your rb:
v) Select all the ATI components and analyse them
vi) Clean them, head into Windows without internet and download the driver

All your three dumps uploaded contained the same type of video bugcheck. It's getting certain that your card is playing a role, might be because of the driver likely. Also remember to watch such things as temperature, especially while gaming - but also general browsing in Windows 7.

Direct-X

When we're talking about video and rendering, I usually suggest people to reinstall Direct-X, as it has a lot of potential to have broken files. Update it - it won't ever hurt.

Now why would I want to do DirectX 9 when 11 is installed?

I have a 500W power supply and the max power demand for either 5670 or 7750 is about 60W or so. That should not be a problem

Head into Windows without internet and download the driver. Windows without internet? How, and then how do I download the driver?

1) The link I've attached is a wide ranged Direct-X download, it contains every month of DX-files of every year since release, as well as Direct-X 11. Installing Direct-X just means updating the Direct-X files, because they'll go broke at times.

2) It's fine.

3) The guide says you'll need to download the driver beforehand, then, you'll do the rest and go offline. Just read it closely, you can't do something wrong at all.

It's pretty straightforward.
