internal sound recording

i have AMD Turion 64x2 Mobile Technology TL-50 1.60 Ghz with 32 Bit operating system compaq presario F500 and Windows 7. i have High definition Audio device. I want to record sound from my laptop internally, i think it is known as 'What you hear'. how do i get to do so ? i downloaded audacity but it doesn't seem to work as well. and i also want to know how do i install Realtek Driver? do i need a Realtek hardware device for it ? I installed Realtek sound driver but it still shows as High definition sound driver. I also tried the show disable devices thing but nothing comes up. Is it possible to change the sound card in my laptop ? i really need this internal recording thing.

"What you hear" is what SoundBlaster calls "System Mixer". With non SoundBlaster sound devices it's called "System Mixer".
