well - this situation has come about since I removed Bonjour and the registry files in regedit typing in Bonjour int he search
I could do the system restore in case it was the regedit that did it...
I am comfy with Internet explorer
I tried Firefox on my previous XP machine and it was disasterous
It would fall over 2 - 3 times a day with an 'Oh Dear this is embarising' note
So I basically reverted to IE
IE 64 bit still works - but IE 32 has stopped (which I need for any online video streaming)
I am using Microsoft Security Essentials
also Malware bytes and at the moment Spybot S&D - I used to use Superantispyware
but that slowed things down and went wrong on the old PC

Internet explorer 9??
Didn't know it was out yet
Would it give me the 32bit - I don't want to sacrifice my working

So sorry to hassle everyone again
I just carried out system restore to the most recent point (yesterday)
now the 32 bit works again - as well as the 64 bit

That is microsoft's antimalware, I was just checking for clashes in AV/AM software. Running more than one service at a time can cause issues, but your system looks good.
