Solved Internet Explorer 10 - Copy Favorites to a USB Drive

Running Windows 7 Home Premium on a Dell desktop. Recently upgraded Internet Explorer 9 to IE 10.
I used to back up my Favorites to a USB thumb drive using Windows Explorer to drag and drop them.

Now with IE 10, I get a Windows Security warning:

"These files may be harmful to your computer
Your internet settings suggest that one or more files may be harmful. Do you want to use it anyway?

C:\Users\CBredt\filename"

The same thing happens if I copy from the other Favorites location:

C:\Users\CBredt\Desktop\filename

It seems to work if I do Copy, then Paste folder by folder, but I have a lot of folders and shortcuts.

Later, I will want to move them to new Windows 10 Desktop tower.

Did you export to a html file ?
Seems the easiest way to export and import favorites :/

I didn't know about import/export Favorites.
I used to just copy to a USB drive, then copy them to a new computer.

Was there a change in IE 10 from IE 9? I didn't get the warning before.

Will this procedure be the same for IE 11 in Windows 10?

Hi,
There were some changes but not very many
Favorites as far as exporting and importing are exactly the same.
