Hi. I've got five computers on my home network and after installing windows 7 on all of them some years ago, network connection hasn't been an issue at all (like never). I have an Xbmcbuntu installation on my media computer and the network connection just stopped working. I could play youtube videos, but not access my personal desktop. Accessing my desktop from my laptop or from my mom's computer worked fine so I thought it was just this xbmcbuntu computer that was having issues. I then noticed that I couldn't access any other computers from my laptop either, but only if I use a network cable rather than the wireless. I then thought that there was some issue with that particular cable, but using the same cable as my mom's computer uses doesn't work either. I've reset the router to it's factory defaults without any luck. I've also noticed that I can access my desktop by typing \\Ip, but not \\computer name. I have no idea where this issue came from, nor do I know where the issue really resides
Can someone give me some tips?
