Hi everyone, hope this is the right section to post this. I installed Windows 7, I bought a retail copy (yes, I have a legit key :geek:) and after getting everything going, I noticed the Internet is either hanging or just goes dead here and there. I had no such problems with my connection using XP Pro.

Anyone else have this problem with Windows 7 Ultimate (32Bit)? I know about the TCP/IP limitation and I am more than positive it's what causing the slow down.

Anything out there to fix this issue? I really want to start using 7 permanantly, but the internet issue is holding me back. Thanks..

I'm using Wireless, it's a linksys USb adapter (Wireless N). I'm not new when it comes to computers, but this seems to be something out of my control and seeing if anyone had the same issue before and found a fix for it. I also turned the power saving off.

Other than the internet problems, Windows 7 is pretty darn fast and solid.

I think this has to do with the 10 concurrent connection that MS limits. This happened when SP3 came out for XP Pro with the limitation until I used the TCP/IP hack and things worked awesome.

Does anyone have a hack for 7? I didn't think MS would still limit it to 10 only.

Wanted to report that my internet seems to be working pretty well. I disabled the IPv6 that I read about and seem to have done the job. I also disabled the Windows firewall and now using my ZoneAlarm Pro firewall.

I also use a tool called TCP-Z to up the concurrent connections to 251 when I need it and helps a lot when using BitTorrent.

Hope it stays working! :D
