It's an older card that has been discontinued. It should handle some of your more basics games but for your more graphic intensive games you will need a more modern up to date GPU.

Note: with a new GPU, pay attention to the minimum wattage recommended to run the GPU.

the X1600 ranks roughly the same as a Radeon HD 5450. That's a fairly low-end card by present standards. (Better than a lot of onboard video, though.)

The X1600 was introduced in the fall of 2005. I'm not sure how many generations of graphics cards have come since then, but it's at least a few. (Just in the Radeon HD series: 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, and 7000.)
