Hello again, sorry for whatever I post is just asking questions about my computer. Pardon me, thanks.

Recently, I have changed some software's icons in my taskbar using .ICO format but I have noticed that whenever I 'Refresh', those icons would change to white document style and change back to the icons that I have assign it to be... So, I'm wondering is it my hardware or is it the wrong format, etc which I use is causing all this?

I created a shortcut of the applications I want it to be on the taskbar then change the icon in it using the properties of those shortcuts. I use .ICO format images. I hope those information helps.

Please help and sorry for the trouble!

Hello,

Assuming I understand your problem correctly, this is relatively normal. When you Refresh, you are forcing Windows to reload things like icons, and they will appear as that blank white page icon while Windows loads the correct images. The shortcuts do return to the correct icons after a few seconds, correct?

And .ICO is the correct format for Windows icons, so that's fine.

Better to ask a question and be enlightened than to not asking it and being ignorant ;)
