Is it possible to change your theme at a certain time of day?

Is there anyway to use Task Scheduler (or anything else) to change my theme at a certain time of the day? I want to know if I could have my computer automatically change the theme to a sunrise at around 6:00 AM, and then after about an hour to a random theme, at 8:00 PM change to a sunset theme, and after another hour to a night theme. I tried using TS, but it seems there are no programs that could do this, and I have no idea how to use arguments. Is this even possible Windows 7?

I would really appreciate any help I could get. Thank you!

If it isn't possible, that's fine, but I'm just curious of the limits of windows 7.

This may be possible as the current theme data must be held in the registry and this should be possible to manipulate using Powershell scripts.

I do not have the knowledge of Powershell to actually write the scripts but understand that it does allow this type of manipulation

It may also be possible to use a macro recorder application to record the commands you need and then trigger these using task scheduler. Not sure if any are available for win7 yet but worth a look

There are forums that concentrate on Powershell on the net that may be able to lead you further down the path with your requirements

Or if there's a command line tool that applies themes, you can easily run that as a scheduled task.

maybe with a little research you could write a vbs script that could accomplish what you're trying to do... never really looked into it much, but it doesn't seem all that difficult to learn. there's even a free application that can be used to convert a txt file to a .vbs file
