Solved Is it possible to transfer hard disk to new pc?

Hi
One of my pcs blew up recently, I removed the hard disks and am wondering if it is possible to put these in another pc with different specs. I have tried and windows goes through startup recovery which ultimately fails.

It is going to be a pain to reinstall everything on the new pc so is there a better way please?

The only way what you're attempting would work is if you are transferring the hard drive to another PC that is the exact same model/spec as the one you are removing it from.

So yes, you will have to re-install everything.

It depends on the specs of the new PC
Most new PCs are incompatible with Win 7. In some cases (specially desktops) you can make it work with some modifications on the installation files.
What are the specifications of the new computer?
