Is it safe to get drivers from Microsoft Update?

Windows Update has been fine in updating my drivers when upgrading from XP to Vista.

It's safe. The drivers may not always be current though. I've installed NVidia drivers from the NVidia site that MS Update didn't have.

I voted no, most time it works ok.
Windows updates have decided that their generic drivers for my Logitech Keyboard and Mouse are the best one's and won't let me install Logitech's, as a result I paid a fortune for a basic function mouse and keyboard.

Just turn off automatic driver installation...and choose the driver to install without ltting Windows decide and you will be fine...

Make a new thread and I will guide you through it

Thank you but I know how to do that but the main problem is Logitech's Setpoint software as usual complete and utter crap
