Is it safe to use an old wireless router?

I won't be able to test the router until maybe next year when I move out.

i just downloaded this, how do i install it on the router?

Go to your routers set up page by typing 192.168.0.1 into the URL of your browser and use the firmware update tab on the left. Once there follow instructions.

That firmware I posted for you isn't even on the D-Link page. I had to find that link from a German forum and it was very difficult to find so I hope that it works for you. That same firmware has already has worked for others with your same router in the past. :)
