I have been testing my GPU with a load of games latley and found that on all valve game eg: L4D2 and half life 2 deat match i only get 50 FPS on 1080P all maxed out yet my mate has a GTX 460 standard edition and has same settings but he get 60 all the time only differnce in his pc is he has a AMD 940 at 3.0GHz could this be why a less powerfull GPU is getting more than my 1?

Do you have the ASUS EPU program? If it is set to auto it might be pinching your performance.
