Hey everyone I recently bought a new computer about 2 months ago and to be honest it works great. I recently (2 days ago) started playing SC2 and I'm playing it with everything on ultra and it runs perfectly fine but I heard my video card make this noise I think its the fan I'm not sure it starts to spin faster.
So tonight I decided to download riva tuner to check out my video card temparature and right now (I'm not playing SC2) the core temparature is at 61 and when I start playing SC2 goes up to 70.

I had a terrible experience releated to overheating my old computer motherboard overheated and gave a horrible blue screen of death so I just wanna make sure this dosen't happen again.

This are my comp specs.

Yes that is absolutely fine as they are within manufacturers stated operating zone. Most cards that are employed to work intensively operate between 60 and 80c.

There are a lot of variables involved which determine temps, one of which is the game being played, some require more juice than others.

If it starts to ever reach 90-95+ then it's time to check things are functioning as they should.

The maximum operating temperature for this Nvidia GeForce GTS240 is 100C max, but I would try to find a way to keep it as cool as possible.

Heat is the biggest killer for any computer system, therefore, when your computer is receiving the best cooling, it performs better, smoother, and lasts longer.
