guys, regarding superantispyware, i have it installed and at first it works just fine.. but lately, when SAS reminds me that updates are available and i download them, win7 tells me that i must have administrator settings in order to do so.. i have installed SAS on our other 2 laptops and still the same results.. we are on administrator mode by the way.. thanks for the help!

Hallo jaypels, try right clicking on SAS and select properties then check the option to run this program as Admin.

If that doesnt work each time you open SAS right click on it instead & select "Run as Admin"

EDIT; I am pretty sure you need UAC turned on for this to work to

Its a great program and it true what they say "Remove ALL Spyware NOT judt the easy ones!"

One thing I really enjoy about SAS is their portable scanner, which you can d/l, put on a FD & use to scan an infected machine. It even renames the scanner to a random name to evade malware detection.

The only thing about this is, since AV defs are constantly being updated, you'll have to d/l the latest version in order to get the full benefits.

They are both very good, however, no AV or scanner is 100% effective. What one might miss the other might catch. Best to keep them both in your arsenal.

This customer support request ticket has been closed

This was the "response" from their support to my following continued reply to the ticket:
"SuperDELETE, how does it work exactly? Why is it not covered under your Q&A or FAQ? I added files into the list, and when I click DONE button it does not delete anything. Or should I use the TRASH BIN button instead?"

SuperAntiSpyware's response was this:

"SUPERDelete in SUPERAntispyware under system tools permanently deletes files that Windows sometimes does not let you delete such as a running process or a system file. To use it you must browse to the file, by adding it to the list, typing in YES in the box, and allowing it to be deleted"


As we see they do not finish explaining how exactly the file gets deleted, thus I asked another question:


"Yes, I knew that much about SuperDelete, but you did not explain the entire process of deletion. After typing in YES, what are exact steps to be taken TO MAKE SURE THE FILE GETS DELETED? Click on the X or click on DONE button and it should then be deleted? I had pressed DONE after typing YES and then do a PC search and the file still in the system, all of the files that supposed to be deleted and in your software's list as well. Why not make your software clear and consistent and include step-by-step instructions?"

Also I asked the following as well:

"Also I have problems starting SAS from Alternate Start and Free Edition (both). Now it just nothing happens, only asks if I allow to change registry etc. then nothing opens. Ran MBAM etc. and they found no malware or virus on my PC although Windows Defender is annoying me with messages that malware found and is being removed a few times a day, which is odd."

Their response to these two was the following:
