Is there a network access sentry gadget?

I'd like to find a (free) prog that would inform me when someone accesses or copies data on my computer from the LAN or WAN. Like a popup window that says "Computer X on your network is accessing files on your hard drive".

Well it's certainly way beyond the powers of a mere gadget! And it's a tad niche to be offered free. So my guess would be dreamland!

Unfortunately, that is where I spend most of my time.

One could wrap the Computer Management feature "Shared Folders" view on a gadget. Sounds to me not a too hard task. I may be wrong, however.
