Okay, I am not sure if this has been asked before but I am in a bit of a hurry. I have installed IconPackager and like my new icons but now I want to uninstall the software, from what I have read if you uninstall the software, all icons go blank or are set back to normal. I want to keep them how they are now, how can I keep them even after I uninstall IconPackager? Thanks for all help in advance!

Yes, this is what you do. You download 7z from here:
Download

Install it and then you cruise on over to your installer of icon packager and extract the contents of the .exe installer to a file folder on your desktop. Then you search the file using .ico as your search parameter and cut and paste them into another folder and call it Icons or whatever and stick it My Documents or somewhere easy to navigate to when you want to customize a folder and hit the browse to customize your folder then go to your icon folder and pick the icon....but as far as unistalling it your basically shafted on that it will remove all icons. You can even create your own icons using a program called Icon Lover just google it...:D

The system as of now is about a year old and the OS was installed on 11/30/2010..
That would be one way to do it... Would you happen to know of a link on how to change default icons manually? I know it has to do with imageres.dll and, I think, a couple of others... Which others? And how to do it?
