Is there any way to view and write to ext4 partition?

I know I can use Ubuntu, but is there a way to stay within Win7 and access, read from, and write to ext4 partitions which are on a SD card?

I was actually running ext2Read before I posted this question. It seemed to be a bit problematic so I figured I'd ask here.

I have never tried that, but I know that the reverse can be done. Unfortunately I dont have a linux installation (other than VM) ATM, so I cannot test it for you, too

Hmm, the more I find the less it looks like there's a way to copy files from a Win7 directory to an ext4 location. At least not while running Win7. I'll have to go to Ubuntu I think.

Have a look at paragon extfs driver for windows. I didn’t use it but I have read the article.. looks interesting www.paragon-software.com/home/extfs-windows/ has somebody already tried this? need you opinion.

Another Option

You may be able to use a Linux VM (running on W7) to read your SD card.

It should work using a USB card reader.

Also, it might be possible to add the SD card as another HDD in the VM settings (I haven't tried this).
