Is this a right choice for the Windows 7 hardware?

Is that like Mac for creative and PC for business? I really hate to be pigeon holed.

Tendancy is AMD 4 gamers, Intel 4 business...
That is an interesting observation which was new to me.

It's been my experience... a good 95% of the business PCs I encounter when consulting are Intel based systems, and most uber gamers I know prefer AMD for their rigs.

I use my Intel Quad for both purposes, but I've always been an Intel fan... well ever since a bad experience with an AMD 5x86 CPU in 94! LOL!

My guess would be that many gamers build their own systems and find the AMD components to be more fitting to their budget. And also, there are just so many more Intels on the market that it is normal to encounter them more frequently. I have both AMD and Intel systems and on an apples to apples comparison I really see no difference in performance - but I am not a gamer.

Thank you all. Thanks for your help..
Can you please also suggest good Modem upto Rs.2200 and 5.1 speakers also in Rs. 2200.
I am thinking about Creative A520 5.1 Speakers and BELKIN MODEM+ROUTER 150.

And also I am thinking to buy External hard disk instead of buying the SATA hard disk, because External will be more portable. I'd be able to take that away and connect it with any PC.

I have attached the rate-list of my nearest dealer.
Please advise something from it.

Thanks.

jovesharma,

I have two of these and they are excellent and expandable with other WD drives. Don't let the Mac format fool you they are easily configured for any PC. Portable is questionable as they won't fit in your pocket or briefcase.

Regarding the Belkin product line I've always used Belkin wireless products and they are excellent and the product support and warranty back up is beyond top notch.

As an audiophile I can tell you there are wonderful but expensive solutions for desktop speaker systems but on the cheap the Logitech brand is hard to beat.

:ditto: above!

I've had my Logitech X-230 (discontinued) for 5+ years now, they were extremely cheap back then. 30$ or less, can't remember, and still they sound better than newer Logitech models with lower RMS wattage.

Logitech are really good speakers for the money!

Sir, My Computer is showing only 2.99 GB for Use. Please help

Lets see.

Motherboard: Newegg.com - ASRock A75M FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS (75$)
APU: Newegg.com - AMD A8-3850 Llano 2.9GHz 4MB L2 Cache Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core Desktop APU AD3850WNGXBOX (130$)
RAM: Newegg.com - Crucial 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model CT51264BA1339 (20$)
HDD: Newegg.com - HITACHI Deskstar 7K3000 HDS723020BLA642 (0f12115) 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive (120$)
Video: Newegg.com - MSI R6670-MD1GD5 Radeon HD 6670 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card (100$)

Total: 445$

The HD6670 is for Hybrid Crossfire and it's not entirely necessary, but it'll give you more video power!
The 2TB HDD is a little expensive because it's not a "green" one (Variable RPM) but a 7200RPM one, there are cheaper choices

I guess you have a PSU/Case and the rest.. mouse, keyboard, monitor.

Sir,

I took 8 GB RAM, and all above,
But now my Computer is showing only 2.99 GB for Use.

This is the screenshot of that screen.

RAM-Problem.png

I have tried installing Windows XP SP2 and Windows 7 Ultimate, but everywhere I am getting 2.99 GB for use.

Please help.

That is the limitation of using a 32-bit OS, which is limited to a total of 4GB address space into which needs to be factored I/O devices, and other hardware. Depending on the hardware, this can leave between 3.25GB and 3.75GB, which is the maximum amount of RAM that is addressable. Of course, if you have a graphics card with a large amount of memory, then this influences things and can leave you with less RAM available for general use.

Looking at your specs, you have a 32-bit OS which limits you to 4GB of memory/address space. Your graphics card is 1GB, so that leaves 3GB. The rest of the hardware and I/O devices account for the difference between this 3GB and the available memory of 2.99GB

In short, the only way to fully utilise all of your RAM is to install a 64-bit OS.

Thanks for telling this sir.
I will install Windows XP SP2 64 Bit and Win 7 64 Bit, to use full features.

But there is a problem I have noticed from the day I bought-i.e. tomorrow, which seems to be a motherboard problem, that all graphics which were playing nice on my earlier Mercury 845GV motherboard, are now playing with somewhat low quality, whether online or stored videos.

My monitor is same, I bought these whole CPU and all because I had a blast in my PC, day before yesterday.

I'm not sure you will be happy with a 64 bit version of XP loaded. Yes it will allow access to your full ram but the driver support for XP 64 bit is woo full and I ran into so many issues that I just removed it. If you must have XP then I suggest staying with 32 bit version and living with the overkill on the ram.

About what linnemeyerhere said, totally true.

Windows XP 64-bit is full of problems, may i ask: why would you want Windows XP installed on your machine? if Windows 7 has compatibility mode for most programs (in fact, Windows 7 has a Windows XP mode)

About the video issue, do you have the video driver installed?

When I run the Motherboard CD auto-setup, it installs CHipset Drivers, LAN driver, and Sound. That's it.
I also searched the DVD manually for VGA/SVGA, but there is an empty SVGA folder in that original motherboard MSI DVD.

Please help, my graphics is low even than my earlier Pentium 4 Processor with Mercury 845 GV motherboard, which I was using since 2004.

It's been written on the Motherboard box, that it is Military Class-II, but does military uses PCs with low graphics? I'm feeling very sad, because I bought PC of such a high cost, but still, graphics is too low, even than my earlier Mercury 845 GV motherboard.

Punkster Sir, please help me in improving the graphics.
Thanks.

As my processor AMD 3850+ has inbuilt GPU (as you told), I did not buy any graphics card.
Thre is no other graphics software in the MSI DVD.

But in my previous old-time motherboard also wasn't consisting of any graphics card.
Still it was showing nice quality videos, after installing Intel Extreme Graphics software (which was present on it's motherboard CD).
