Hi, personally I would never use and trust a RAM Defragger, RAM is meant to be used, not defraggrd, just close some processes or restart PC of necessary.

What that does is wipe out cached data, which in reality SLOWS down your computer simply because any program that might need that cached data later will definitely have to load it from the hard drive when it needs it, instead of it possibly being cached and not having to hit the hard drive. Sounds pretty useless to me. Nowadays where every system comes with 4, 6 or 8GBs of RAM, what's the point.

I wouldn't use it or use anything like it.

Windows 7 does a pretty good job of taking care of business without the need for third-party utilities.

The only thing RAM-related that will impact adversely on computer performance is less RAM, not more.

As whs quite rightly points out, what's the point of trying to tweak RAM when Windows will try and use all the RAM you've got.

Yes I was perhaps mislead by the video I suppose and glad I didn't try it now.

Ram Overload

The concept for that type of software was associated with limitations in Win 3.1, I believe. That is when you ran memory managers. Apps at that time did not do a good job of releasing memory when shut down. Modern apps are much better at doing that. Some programs were terminate and stay resident when they didn't need to be.
