Hello, you gusy recently helpped me with my BSOD very well, so I was hoping you might be able to shed a bit of light on this for me? I am looking to buy a new graphics card as that was the reason for my BSOD and I feel its time I updated it anyway :) I am looking to buy this, Sapphire HD6670 2GB DDR3 Graphics Card. You can see it here. However I'm not too sure if it will work? it is a PCIe 2.0 x 16 bus. However mine is just. PCIe 1.0 i think? here are my system specs.

Do you guys think it will work with this system? If not do you have any ideas of a similar card I could use at a reasonable price?

Many thanks :)

Here are the system requirements for the card:

SAPPHIRE HD 6670 2GB DDR3#

The main point of concern is whether you have a power supply of sufficient capacity. Sapphire requires 400W or more.

As you don't list your HP model number, we can't check the PSU spec. If you don't mind opening the case, there is usually a label on the PSU that gives its specs.

As mentioned above, open your pc lid, you should see a sticker like this one. You take a look at the 12v rail and tell us what amperage is it. Or even better, if you don't understand what we are talking about, make a close picture of the sticker...
