4GB will be an upgrade since it is more memory.

looks like you currently have 2x 1GB DDR2 667Mhz SoDimms in there.

Yep.

But since you have only two slots available (which are already filled) You will need to buy a 2x2GB SDRAM PC2-5300 Kit to replace those two existing 1GB sticks.
