Hi all, I'm new to the forum, so don't really know where this would go.

I'm having problems with my ISDN connection. In WIndows Xp my ISDN modem worked just fine, I could browse the net without any issues. I recently moved to Win 7 Pro. First had problems finding drivers for my modem, after I found them, now I have problems with my internet, I can connect to my ISP but I can't open any websites, if I ping the sites I get a reply, but they don't open in IE. I disabled the firewall. When I connect to my ISP, Win 7 sets it up as a public network. I tried to change it to a Work network, but that makes no difference. I removed the connection and set it up again, Public network.

I'm at my wits end, please help.

The fact that it's a public network shouldn't affect normal internet access. Perhaps there still is a driver issue. Also, a brief google search on the issue (isdn modem + cant connect) brought up some suggestions such as powering off the modem or just unpluging it's usb connection temporarily. Since you pay someone for that isdn line, shouldn't they help you troubleshoot it in Windows 7, or at least tell you if they know for a fact that the modem has Windows 7 drivers. Also, since your system is 32-bit, make sure you have 32-bit drivers (not 64-bit).
