when i drag an icon from the taskbar to show its pinned list, the item where my cursor is gets opened inmediately, i remember pinned list used to stay there until i clicked any item, but now it automatically opens the selected item as soon as i stop holding click.

Welcome to Seven Forums SykesMod. Is this a PC or a laptop? Do you have it set to open by double click or single click? If this problem just started, you may have a System restore point from before the problem began. A Guy

It's a PC. it is set for double click under folder options, but this happens when i drag the jumplist and release click on any item, it used not to open the item the cursor is in when i release it, but to let me click any item. now it just opens up the item as soon as i release the click (jumplist drag)

I'm assuming the System restore suggestion is not something you want to try? Or you don't know when it began? This happens universally regardless of what jump list you drag, not just one particular icon? This behavior doesn't occur when hovering a desktop icon? Obviously I cannot recreate the behavior, so I am trying to think of what may cause it. A Guy

can't system restore because i disabled it.
this happens on any jumplist. doesn't happen when hovering on desktop icons.

i just noticed when i drag a taskbar icon to show up its jumplist, it pops up immediately, as i were right clicking it. i remember i was able to drag it in and out making it look half visible.

Yes, dragging is slightly with left click you can get an almost invisible window with a slight drag.

I know there are settings for delay time for thumbnails and such, but I have not seen any settings for the jump list. Perhaps you have an application that is conflicting somehow? An easy test is to perform a clean start and see if the behavior changes.
