Hi all, First post and I have been searching through this awesome forum for an answer but have found no solutions.

Im a new Win 7 user so hopefully its just a case of missing something simple.

My main issue is I just cant get windows to install itunes!
I have been trying all of the compatibility modes, running as an administrator but nothing seems to work. Im just using the 32bit Win7 and 32 bit itunes.

When starting the installer nothing ever happens, I just see the blue spinning halo and then it vanishes with no program loading or installer windows coming up.

I have also had the same issue with ZoneAlarm free, AVG Free and quicktime installers.

What do you guys think?

Can you go into event viewer (type eventvwr in search) go to the windows log>application tab.

You should be looking for critical errors (they have red in the left hand column) that refer to app hang, app crash, or anything resembling the problem.

Note the event ID and source code an tell you what they are

?
Welcome to Windows 7 Suport forums, we will attempt to trouble shoot your issue but we need more details please.
  1. What version of Windows 7 have you installed? X 64 or X86?
  2. What version of Itunes have you downloaded?
  3. Was this version of Itunes 64 bit ?
  4. Did you download/or run from the web site?
  5. Did you attempt to install as Administartor?
  6. Did any part of the install start?
  7. Did you install the latest version of Itunes over an existing Itunes version?
We understand that we are bombarding you with these questions but if you can give us an idea of what transpired it will aid us in a resolution of your issue.
