iTunes 9 Released!

I did a clean install of itunes 9 on my desktop which didn't have any itunes on it before just fine, but i just upgraded my laptop and now after it restarted after finishing the install im getting the Bluescreen of death. My desktop is 32bit, but my laptop is 64bit. Anyone else got any problems with it so far?

No but if you goto c:\windows\minidump and zip the dump file (*.dmp) and upload it so we can debug it we could tell you why

I cant even get windows to start. It says windows experienced an error and to either start the startup recovery or to try and start windows normally. I did the startup recovery but still doesnt work.

Sounds like your install got killed, try doing a dual-boot and then get the minidump from within the newly installed OS (navigate to the older one).

I got it running again. I just did another startup recovery and this time it worked. iTunes seems to be working just fine too. Who knows what the problem was.

Try opening start and typing: show hidd

Then hit enter, then allow yourself to see hidden folders/files. Go back to C:\Windows\Minidump and you should see a file.

OK you can search for the minidump files (asuming you had a BSOD) by searching *.dmp it should be on the same drive as the OS

I am also getting the BSOD whenever i open PC wizard by cpuid and click on the voltage, temp, and fans button.

that minidump was caused by tifm21.sys its a file for TI and is described here tifm21.sys Windows process - What is it?.

best bet to download and re-install the driver. If you dont know what it is let me know

But does anyone know how I can retrieve an iPhone backup (restore) file from my iTunes and transfer it onto another PC that will actually be able to read and access the backup file?

Just installed it and it seems to be much more responsive than past editions, that flip feature is definitely a lot faster this time, which is good.

not possible to transfer it to another pc. even if you manage to transfer the backup, your iphone may get into trouble. :shock:
