Itunes doesnt recognize ipod

i downloaded the 64 bit version. it installed in Program Files and Program Files(x86). iTunes actually runs as a 32 bit app though, I think it's just 64 bit compatible

I couldn't find the mobile apple device driver version, just teh driver under disk drives

Did you try restarting the apple mobile device service? Check this

You are missing the usb driver "APPLE MOBILE DEVICE" all windows sees is a disk drive!

iTunes works just fine with my ipod though.

I used the default install and then uninstalled the bonjour service.

I understand that you have the program installed from what I'm seeing in your control panel. How ever the driver is missing from device manager.

Device Driver

In the device driver, a successful installation with an Iphone/Ipod connected will show the Mobile Apple Device.

when my ipod is plugged in, i don't get that driver under USB, just the one under Disk Drives.

but my ipod works with iTunes just fine.

I was showing cgrox to try and figure out what was different and why iTunes works for me and why he is having issues.

try media monkey .too see if that recognizes it ,its miles better for quickly adding songs
