Solved Java up-date turn off

I keep getting these offers of an update from Java, do I really need these, I'm quite happy with my year old machine performance and, if these aren't necessary, how can I switch these offers off please.

There are hundreds of these links. Not only is it important that you have the latest version installed, but it's also vital that you remove the other versions. There is a tool called JavaRA that automates the removal process, you can do this by following these instructions:

JavaRA

1. Please go to the following link: Download JavaRa | SingularLabs
2. Click on
   
   located next to Windows Binary (.zip)to download JavaRa
3. Save this file to your desktop
4. Right click on the downloaded file, click Extract All then click on Extract
5. Once the files have extracted, go into the folder and double click on JavaRa.exe
6. From the drop down menu, please select your first language and click on Select
7. When JavaRa opens, click on Remove Older Versions then click on Yes
8. When that finishes, click on Search For Updates
9. When prompted, select Update Using jucheck.exe
10. When it finishes updating, reboot your computer
