Hello all.

Yesterday I got infected with AntiVirus Antispyware 2011. After a session with Hijack this and malwarebytes I cleaned my PC.

Unforunately, now I cannot use internet explorer, either version 8 or 9 to acess my Hotmail. ''Javascript is required to sign-in.''

It it saying that I do not have javascript or that it is blocked.

I tried to reinstall Java, nothing,
I tried to reset explorer settings, uncheck and check all tool box that could be related and nothing work.

I tried some console command to reinitialize javascript like regsvr32 jscript.dll regsvr32 vbcript.dll.

It sayz that the vbcript.dll is missing.

Would that be the problem ?


How can I fix explorer and/or java so that I can continue to use IE ?


Everything works ok with Firefox...hotmail, java, everything.


I've been looking in geek forums, tech experts forums, microsoft forums...and now this Windows Seven forum is my last resort before a format.


What can I do ?

Have you tried reinstalling internet explorer, that might just fix the problem cause I think it comes with it's own java installation in the package I'm not sure but it's worth a shot..

Javascript has nothing to do with Java. It is a scripting language developed for Netscape and got the name when Sun got involved with it but is not based on Java or even related and does not depend on Java being installed on your system. Try to do a reset on IE and see if that helps.

We have done the option : '' Reset to Factory default & Advance option reset too ''
in explorer, tried every possible options and also did differents softwares scan in safemode.

By reinstalling explorer you mean explorer 8 ? I had explorer 8, then updated to explorer 9 RC. Nothing changed, the bug is just more evident has now an internet blank page tells me the same message as my post title.
