KB3207752 and KB3205394 Update for Windows 7 SP1

What are the non-security updates in KB3207752. I had windows update to never check for updates, yet somehow it reverted back to automatically downloading and installing updates. It installed KB3207752. Is there anything unwanted in this update ?

I don't think that's something people know off the top of their heads. It has to be researched and you can do it yourself by Googling the KB number.
Windows Update and other functions (e.g. services) sometimes will reset itself. Just check on them every now & then. You do know its not a good idea to never update your OS right?

I've been having problems trying to install KB3207752 and KB890830. When I try to download them it stays on 0% and never moves. I had it on all day today and it never downloaded. Any suggestions are welcome.

To check for installed updates, go to control panel >windows updates >click on installed updates in lower left corner. Since you show your OS as win7 x64 look for KB3020369 or KB3177467 and KB3172605 under the first column win7 x64.

Do I install the x86 version as well?

No,

you show your OS as win7 x64

Therefore you only need the x64bit versions when installing system files.

if you tried installing the x86 updates you'd probably get a pop-up saying their incompatible with your machines architecture.

Make sure you reboot your machine and check that those updates were installed successfully.

Stop the Windows Update Service (wuauserv) before running standalone installers.

Some users for various reasons may have objections to any of the ones you've listed. I've installed all three and both of my machines are running without issues.

Just my 2 cents worth.

1. .NET Framework is a collection of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and a shared library of code that developers can use when developing software, so that they don’t have to write the code from scratch. If you have any 3rd party software installed on your computer chances are good that the developers used .NET Framework. Like almost everything else about Windows, the bad guys try to exploit any security holes they can find. Since this is a security update I installed it and it hasn't given me any problems. Every .NET Framework update I've installed seems to take forever (at least 15-20 minutes.)
2. The December Security Monthly Quality Rollup is another security patch. Again, it installed without issue and since it patches known security issues, I recommend installing it.
3. The Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool is basically an on-demand malware scanner. It runs silently in the background. If it detects potential malware it will notify you at the end of the scan. Otherwise you won't see any other prompts, pop-ups, etc. Since it's just another malware scan I allow it to install and run.

If your computer is working as it should, you can always create a new restore point or system image prior to installing these updates.

Hope this added info helps rather than confuses things. And no disrespect intended to the other members who have been helping you.
