Hello,

I recently had to reinstall Windows 7 and I did so after completely reformatting my hard drive. It was a clean install, with no other startup HP software. However, now sometimes my computer will crash when I close the laptop, or if it runs out of battery and trys to hibernate. I have been reading other posts, and it seems that hardware drivers tend to create these problems. When I reinstalled, I thought I updated all of the drivers to the most recent driver, but I could be wrong. Can anyone please help me with this? It woudl be most appreciated I have attached to the two files.

Best Regards,

Dustin

Dustin;

The Windows Debugging Tools aren't able to access symbols for your operating system files (in particular NTOSKRNL.EXE / NTKRNLMP.EXE / NTKRNLPA.EXE / NTKRPAMP.EXE) from the Microsoft Symbol Server - so that makes debugging them difficult if not impossible.

Please do the following:
- activate/validate the Windows installation at Genuine Microsoft Software
- run sfc.exe /scannow to replace any problem files
- open a support incident with Microsoft to see if they can fix the missing symbols issue ( Windows 7 Solution Center )
- If that doesn't fix it, then wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows
- don't use "leaked"/torrent builds

Let me know if you need help with any of this

Ken
