Solved Keyboard hardly usable

On my wife's Fujitsu laptop, Windows 7, the keyboard is almost unusable from one day to another. So I am using my Windows XP antique to post, so when I use the keyboard, I get:
Qwerty456p
Asdfgh123+*\
Zxcvbn0,./


(what fun)


I just cleared a load of rubbish from her laptop so it doesn't seem to be a malware problem, Windows tells me that the drivers are up to date. Any ideas please?

Welcome to SF cooked. Do you have access to a usb keyboard or wireless keyboard that you can try? Also as a precaution I would back up all important data immediately to an external hard drive.

Thanks. /The lady that borrowed the laptop yesterday came in again today and fixed the problem very quickly. I didn't explain that we also have Thai as a language and something happened when we changed the language back. So I can't really explain what she did, she doesn't speak English.

Ever thought of using or attaching an USB KB through your USB port to use for typing? A KB for PC inserted to your laptop USB to replace faulty KB ?
