Keyboard typing not what it should

Hey guys! I have got a weird problem with my laptop! when i am typing on keyboard, and i press certain keys, it is not typing what it should. I checked the keyboard configuration, it is on US standard, it is not British English or something else, I read somewhere that it can happen because of BIOS, so I updated it.

as you are using a laptop have you tried the manufacturers website for a keyboard driver?

Which keys? What are they typing (if anything) when you press them, and what should they be typing? On many laptops, some of the keys are multifunctional. Check to see that they are in the correct mode.

It would be helpfull if you let us know what the keys are that are wrong and the output they are giving.

It could be that you have pressed your <shift> key too long. It then automatically changes keyboard settings. You can reset by clicking on the small keyboard icon on the lower right in your taskbar and choosing your preferred keyboard setting again. If this IS what happened, you can disable these functions by pressing <SHIFT> 5 times and disable the settings in the screens that follow. Read those carefully before you choose...

When I have a problem like that, it is usually because a key is stuck.
