Keys not working

Wow, i've noticed that i have made alot of threads recently and im sorry to bother. This time it is about my HP. Some keys dosen't work on the computer(not related to any damage done). I've tried everything. I have tried reseating the keyboard which only made it worse. I couldn't type all the numbers expect 5 and 6. But reseating the keyboard solved a little of the number problem(not entirlely) The numbers that aren't working is 1, 5 and 6. The letters i can't type is Q, A, and Z. I've tried alot of tutorials, disabled numlock(via registry because numlock turned on automatic and i don't even have numlock on my keyboard). Please help me im desprete, i haven't used my HP for along time because of this problem.



P.S Sorry if i typed alot of things wrong, i have a very strong headache.

Sounds like you will need a new keyboard. Try the on screen keyboard and another keyboard. If laptop hook up an external keyboard do they work.

Well, the keyboard is not broken as sometimes i can get the keys to work in rare circumstans by example spamming the key very much etc.

But how do i fix it? I don't have the money for a USB Keyboard nor a external keyboard from another laptop as my samsung only has keys that are separeted and my HP Dont.

The keyboard is broken and malfunctioning. If you took it apart and put it back together and the problem persists, that's a pretty clear indication you need a new keyboard. I'm sorry I don't see you clarifying anywhere whether this is a laptop or a keyboard connected to a desktop. If it's a laptop keyboard, you can certainly try to purchase a new keyboard online for your laptop, however that's way more expensive than simply going to your local computer shop and picking up an extremely cheap keyboard.

You can get a USB keyboard for less than $20.

Only thing is try blowing out the keyboard but don't count on it helping. Laptop keyboards are not that much generally. You didn't tell us the full model number of the hp.

It's been a while since I've even looked at replacement keyboards for laptops. oscer1 is right. They are cheap. As cheap as any USB keyboard it looks like.

Well if you look at the specs, it says: HP Pavilion G6, all the pavilion g6s are basiclly the same but for different area codes and colors. Ill try and see if there is a flea market near us so i might pick a keyboard up.

Really, i dont know the model number at all. My uncle shipped the computer to me about 3-4 years ago and took off the stickers of the back.
