I bought 2x 4gb Kingston HyperX Savage 1600Mhz, on the website where I bought the memory modules it says that the timing is "9-9-9-35" but when I look HWINFO it says that it is running at 11-11-11-28, I am doing something wrong that it doesn't run like it is given at the website?

This is the datasheet of kingston itself and it doesn't say anywhere 28 too: http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/HX316C9SRK2_8.pdf

I hope someone can help me.

Thanks,
Chris

Often with a motherboard, when the RAM timings are set at AUTO, the board uses a conservative set of timings to ensure compatibility and operation on first bootup. It's a fail safe thing.

All you have to do is go into BIOS and manually set the timings to the advertised specs (9-9-9-35) and reboot. Or else, enable your XMP profile, if your BIOS has that feature. That should be all it takes to get you going.

While we're at it, is your memory running at 1600? Most of the time AUTO will default it to 1333, so you may want to check that as well. You can also adjust that manually.

Alright I enabled XMP and now it is running at "9-9-9-27" I have really no idea where they get that 35 from, I do something wrong? maybe I should send an email to kingston or the store I bought the modules from.

27 is better than 35, no? The first three I know smaller is better as these are timings but 4th, no idea.

27 is fine as long as the machine is running right. The 35 sounds a little slow for that kind of RAM anyway. The tRAS setting, which is the last one (27 or 35), is generally (but not always) the sum of the first three figures. In this case, 3 x 9 = 27. You haven't done anything wrong, and there is no need to worry about it.

If you're worried about it, run Memtest86+ overnight.

Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

That will diagnose any problems, if there are any. I suspect that you won't have any.

You'll be good with those timings. I have the Kingston HyperX Genesis (one of the predecessors to the Savage) and my timings are exactly the same.
