I might be doing something wrong. It says "Cannot find the C:/VEW.txt.file. Do you want to create a new file?" And when I says "yes" nothing happens

Did you save VEW to your desktop? Did you right click and choose to run as Administrator?

The text file will show on your desktop, if you ran it correctly.

Type services.msc in the start search box, click on the icon. When the services window opens, scroll down to FastBootAgent or AFBAgent. Right click on the line, select properties, then stop the service and set it to disabled. Apply and ok your way out.

Next, update your Java

Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.
Updating Java:

• Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.

• Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
• Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
• Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
• Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
• Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
• Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u22-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.

Tell me if programs are still hanging, or slow.

It's mine I don't even known what a locked registry key does or means... I definitately didn't mean to do it, if I did do it.

Also, I've realized that this doesn't occur only when installing windows updates, but with anything I'm installing.

You would be better off to do a 'repair install', because I simply can't pin-point the problem ... I thought we had it after running Combofix, but since the same lag occurs, follow this Tutorial.
