Hello, I am new here and know very little about Windows 7.
I am facing a lot of problems and need help. I will be posting more questions.
My first problem is I cant find my LAN connections. I can get wireless connections but when I plug in my cable I have no idea about the LAN. It detects nothing. PLEASE HELP !

You will need the driver for the LAN adapter. It may be there already but the LAN adapter may not be activated- turned on so it shows.
It should be listed in Device Manager- somewhere.

I tried the Sony UK and U.S. site and your laptop is not found.
It appears you are in India so I tried Sony- Asia Pacific and the model number is not found according to their Search.

Find the proper Sony sight and go to Support page and search for your model.

Hope that helps.
Mike

Snip below is of my adapter. Yours will be a different brand probably but will appear in Device Manager similarly.
You can right click adapter and then click Properties to open small window with info.

Thanks for the reply. I checked my device manager but there is nothing as a wired network. Well, the model number is VPCEA23EN. I will search the support and let you know if I get the drivers. Take a look at the snap

The yellow marked is probably the Network adapter but has no driver.

Sony support page for your laptop with driver downloads should have "Network Adapter" or similarly named driver listed.
