Lap top got so so slow

i got this new laptop
HP Pavilion dv6-6199ee Entertainment Notebook PC (LX218EA) specifications - HP Home and Home Office products

and i reinstalled the windows to ultimate x64 but the lap got so slow in opening applications like office 2007 for example but it fast in gaming like playing crysis 2 . . . .

what could be the problem i mean even surfing the lap is so slow

please help me (

This happened to a friend, and it turned out being the hard drive failing.... Maybe try and run something like crystaldiskinfo just to make sure it isn't that....

If the hardware is ok, maybe make sure all the drivers are up to date and it's defragged and clean....

i used crystaldiskinfoand its says health is good, the lap is still new i don't think it need defragg

a brand new PC running slow.... i agree check the hard drive and if it is failing and you just bought it. return it for another one...

do you have the full 8gigs of ram????

also it could be a virus....

it it read it 8 GB Ram and idon't think it is virus as i didn't connected any dvds or usbs
