hi

ive got a brand new battery in an old dell inspiron n4030 lappy, win 7 64bit. It never charges more than 86 pc and runs out of juice at about 26pc [on the task bar] . To try and calibrate it ive run full charge/discharge cycles 4 times. Only a couple of pc better

using power plan called "balanced" and default settings

trouble is that i cant re calibrate it properly cause battery will not last below 26pc and every instruction ive seen says to set pc to sleep at about 4 pc

the old battery goes right down to 5pc
any ideas anyone

thanks

I think you need to select power saver and make a plan for battery. Maybe it works in your case.

what sort of plan should i make, the only useful thing would be to shut it down just before 26pc so t dose not crash
will try other plan
thanks
