laptop chipset driver help. acer 57949z-4809

So im updating the chipset for the laptop, but when the setup starts I get the message " an unknown error has occurred setup will now exit.
The deice manager has a yellow triangle. I ran unknown Device identifier and the program reads
Chip: Intel 6 Series Chipset Family SMBus Controller
Detail
PnpID
VEN_8086&DEV_1C22&SUBSYS_06231025&REV_05

the file I downloaded is Chipset_Intel_9.2.0.1015_W7x86W7x64_A.

I just need help installing it for the drivers. PS this is on a clean install of windows 7 home premium 64 bit

Hi there .. You would be best getting the Driver from the Manufactures website .. I did a quick search for your Model Number but could not find any trace on the Acer website ...

Hi nixvaldez, As maxie stated Use the drivers from the Acer website Acer | Download You may have to run them under Admin rules http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/11841-run-administrator.html Hope this helps and good luck
