What's your budget like? That's an important question...
Hi guys, I need help picking a laptop. I'm looking for a laptop with lots of "horsepower", gaming like. I also want it at a decent price. NO HP !!! Any ideas ?? Thanks in advance![]()
Sounds like you'd do much better getting a desktop gaming unit... much more bang for the buck... Just remember the old adage ... The difference between the men and the boys ...
Good Luck...

Hi and welcome to seven forums
Im assuming you're willing to trade a ton of horsepower to get a laptop. You are really restricted on video, audio, HD, heat, etc. For 1500 you probably gonna end up with something like a dell XPS. Not a bad lapbrick but for the same 1500 you could get a pretty good desktop. BTW Im using a dell laptop right now

Yeah I know they are incredibly handy for schooland work, etc. You want a lappy that will run 64bit, as much memory as you can afford, at least a dual core 2 processer. A good video card and 5.1 audio. you can change HD later and you can add memory later.
Hope this helps
Ken
yea ive been considering those, how good are they, i hear they pretty decent, also besides the studio xps 16, any other ideas ?

well, here's the question..how much u wanna spend? mine's a hp/compaq but if i had the money i'd have to get a Toshiba.
budget id say maybe like around 1500ish
If you're spending that, I'd save a few hundred more and go for an Alienware.
and new HP Pavilions beat them both...so dell seems to beat asus ?
