Laptop manufacturer Windows 7 product key not working!!!!

Hi,
I recently purchased an Acer Aspire 5532 from a friend and it came with elementary OS.

The manufacturer sticker on the back has a Windows 7 Home Premium key but it's not working. I tried to download Windows 7 Home Premium ISO from Microsoft website and it asks for the product key but every time I put the key in, it gives me an error saying I should contact my manufacturer for recovery options.

I checked with Acer and the laptop has no extended warranty.

What should I do? I am downloading an ISO from somewhere else, you think the key would work if I install windows on the laptop?

Hi Cruel,
MS does not support OEM versions,
download the iso from here,

VALID FOR 24 HRS ONLY


SKIP the product key on install, as it may self activate.
(can be entered later via control panel >> system >> change product key)
