Laptop no longer getting past Start Up Boot

Motherboard support site is the one linked, yes.

Marvel is a SATA controller (where a CD/DVD or HDD is attached on the motherboard). But I don't know laptops have it, you should get Intel rapid Storage instead (it is in the driver list on support page).

Hold installing GPU drivers until updates are finished. If installing all together fails, try installing 10-20 at a time.

I think I finished installing the last few windows updates yesterday and I grabbed most of the drivers Linnemeyerhere listed other than the gpu/video driver and the mobo driver (unless the mobo driver is the chipset driver then I have it). Anything else I should do befire attempting the gpu driver?

Image backup System Reserved (if there is one) and C partitions with Macrium free - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/73828-imaging-free-macrium.html. Create a bootable media with it too.

Then try the various drivers. Check AMD site too for current drivers (if there are).

Mobo drivers are the chipset drivers and the Marvell sata was listed in my set up. As I say the set up for drivers are always unique to your set up but they follow the same profile. I also recommend ordering a copy of the OS and driver disk that the system came with even if it costs a few bucks for shipping it's well worth it from time to time. Seems these days you have to catch the manufacturer within a narrow time frame to get these.

Mobo driver is chipset driver, you just need IRST driver, you don't have a Marvell controller. It is not even listed.

Linnemeyerhere: I believe you have a desktop, which has a 2nd SATA controller that is Marvell.

Sorry I didn't see the link to the Samsung driver downloads, good call. I would grab most all on the list and avoid the obvious which if need be can always be added later. Gokay, correct my rig is a desktop.

Sorry, I've been busy for the past few days but I did try downloading a few AMD drivers and installing them. Most of the drivers resulted in a black screen with a blinking underscore in the top left. I also attempted to use AMD's driver detector and the results were the same. The driver listed on the Samsung site, VGA(Graphics),AMD (Driver) ver.8.951.9.3000 - Windows 7(32bit,64bit) (MULTI LANGUAGE, 357.34 MB)" didn't crash my laptop, however I was not able to get past the "Starting Windows" part like I mentioned before after I was prompted to restart. This is similar to the situation I had before I reinstalled Windows. I currently have Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 enabled and Standard VGA Graphics Adapter which is unable to start. The VGA graphics adapter was replaced by the AMD driver after installation. Maybe this could be somewhat useful information.


Also, thanks Noel for responding! Hopefully the fix you have will help me with my startup issues.
EDIT: About the SFC, the error originally listed in the main post existed before I reinstalled Windows 7. I ran SFC a while ago and it "did not find any integrity violations." The start up issue still exists but only after I install my graphics driver and I restart my laptop.

I've uploaded a file - ermaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.

Right-click on the saved file and select Extract all...
Change the target to C:\ and click on Extract
Close all windows (it would be a good idea to print these instructions!)

Now reboot to the Repair Environment - as soon as the machine restarts, start tapping F8 - this should bring up the Advanced Boot Menu, at the top of which should be the option 'Repair my Computer'
Pick that
You'll have to log in with your username and password.

Pick the option to use a Command Prompt
At the prompt type
DIR C:\ermaa
hit the enter key - if you get a 'Not Found' error try
DIR D:\ermaa
or
DIR E:\ermaa

The drive letter in use when you find the folder will need to be substituted (for<drive>) into the following command...

XCOPY <drive>:\ermaa<drive>:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h

(e.g. XCOPY P:\wfire P:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h )

run the command (it should take almost no time) and when the prompt returns, type
EXIT
and hit the Enter key to exit Command Prompt - reboot to Normal Mode Windows.

Now run SFC /SCANNOW in an Elevated Command Prompt
then reboot and upload the new CBS.log file to your reply

After the SFC scan concluded I was given the message, "Windows did not find any integrity violations" and so no CBS.log was provided. I tried doing everything again a second time, only this time I attempted to install the GPU driver again before following the instructions provided. Again I received the "Windows did not find any integrity violations" after checking with SFC to make sure the driver installation didn't mess with the system files. I was unable to boot past the "Starting Windows" screen and had to use system restore so I can boot back up normally.

Yes the AMD drivers from both sources do not work. I do have the Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 driver working from the motherboard site but the laptop's performance isn't nearly as decent as it was before.
