Maxie, I still can't get it to turn on. NSA, Greg did remove CCC last night. I will definitely give DriverMax a try.

It worked for me, and it's an easy interface to use. It also prompts you for the option to create a restore point right when you click to install the driver, after downloading it in its interface. Good luck

What was the error Message you got when trying to enable Defender ? ..

There wasn't an error message when I was trying to enable it from the Action Center. It just had the little wheel to spin and then would stop and wouldn't do anything.

Run a System Scan doubt it will help any but worth a try .. Is your Windows up to date ? ...

Now, I did get an error message when I started Services.msc. I think it said the file for Windows Defender was not found or there was something wrong with it.
