i downloaded avg on my laptop, when it was done it prompted me to restart the laptop. i restarted the laptop but there was a problem, i heard a buzzing sound, then a blue screen went up. i took the battery out just to get rid of the blue screen. it won't normally start. what will i do?
restart computer and when it boot's up press F8 to enter boot manager (press F8 multiple times right after bios boot)
then choose repair my computer >> startup repair option and folow the seps.
if that doesn't work insert your installatin disc/USB/DVD and click "repair my computer" link when "install windows" screen shows up.

Most of us here do not recommend AVG which bloated up a few years ago and has never slimmed back down to where it offers good performance like Microsoft Security Essentials.
If Startup Repair won't restore to before the AVG install, manually run System Restore from System Recovery Options.
You may have hardware problems so if necessary test your RAM and HD, work through these other troubleshooting steps
