Solved large (> 4 GB) file transfers in FAT32/NTFS

i am trying to transfer a 4 GB+ file (video) onto a 32 GB pendrive (FAT32) but a message - "The file 'xyz' is too large for the destination file system" - comes. is it because the pendrive has FAT32 formatting? and if so, should i format it into NTFS?

You are correct you will need to format to NTFS as FAT32 is limited to 4 GB.

thanks, i did that, but now my Sony Bravia TV doesn't read the NTFS formatted pendrive. guess i will have to split the 4 GB+ video to watch on TV. thanks again, bongo.
