Latest 7 updates killed my AVG & internet

I've had to do a restore 6 times so far to get my connection back & AVG up & running again. I disabled the auto-install feature for Windows Update, thought the problem was fixed (finally) but late last night I once again lost my internet connection & AVG Firewall won't start. I have a wireless 802.11 card with a Verizon MiFi. I'm unsure o what to do now, especially since I did another restore to get my connection back & no go. Anyone else having issues like these or know what's going on?

I finally found the correct restore point & have internet back, for the moment. So should I uninstall AVG for now? I just downloaded Blender the same day as the updates. That shouldn't be the issue should it?
