I pretty much fudged up the install and installed the whole package without uninstalling anything.. made the fan stop working and the cards rose to about 70C. Did It right the second time and did a reg. clean as well, but now all text seems blurry. Anyone else notice that?

Can anyone help me with Catalyst Media Center download? I have an ATI TV Wonder 600 USB, and the original disk w/ the drivers and software. When on their website, they said that there was no Win7 driver, nor were there any plans to make one. I paid over $100 for this TV Tuner, and I'll be pretty upset if I have to go buy another one just because of a driver issue.

coachmark2, welcome to the forums.

There may not be a Windows 7 driver for it, but there is a Vista driver (both 32 and 64 bit, and both available on the game.amd.com link above) that should work in Windows 7.

I feel your pain. Just today, ATI released the driver for the PCI 650 version. I waited a long time. The Vista drivers were a fail for me.

Thank you Stormy13, I tried the Vista Drivers, but they didn't work. I then tried them in Vista-compatibility mode, which also failed. I've got a rusty old Vista machine that I'll try it on, though.

EDIT: Now my Vista machine won't run it off of the disk because it "failed to find any installable components." *Sigh*. Last line of defense: Get the Vista Drivers from AMD...
EDIT2: The one from AMD won't work. It installs, and puts everything into the AMD Technologies folder, which is empty. This is realllllly bugging me...

I have been using these drivers for since airbot first posted it and they run fine for me just installed over the top of old drivers as it uninstalled the old drivers for me and replaced them with 10.4 so no extra work for which i liked. as for the performance itself all my games still work fine with crysis that was a little glitchy now smoth as it should be so this new update is worth having.

I feel your pain. Just today, ATI released the driver for the PCI 650 version. I waited a long time. The Vista drivers were a fail for me.

Yes, I remember, and I couldn't fathom why it would not work for me. So, I just waited for to fulfill their promise to deliver this spring.

Yeah I was P'd when I when I found out they wouldn't support the card under Win 7, but did the upgrade anyway and was surprised when I installed the cat drivers and the tuner worked. To verify I wasn't imagining things, I uninstalled all ATI software and just reinstalled the Cat drivers and lo and behold my TV tuner was still working. So it seems ATI did incorporate stream portion of the tuner drivers into the Cat package.

Well here I will be once again starting off with the latest Cat. version number out on the new case.

Due to moving up from a 2xxx series card to a 5xxx series model seeing the latest on from the start will be the largest part of it rather then needing to wait for some new one to come along. The version out when the other case was first new was problematic there with both the software disk and latest being the same where the newer one needed addressed a few bugs.

Last night I updated my ATI's 10.4 drivers for my XFX 5850. So far, so good. I read these drivers fixed many issues from 10.3. I'm glad AMD made the changes for those fixes.

Something I just realized and don't think has been mentioned in this thread, that ATI has started releasing Catalyst Driver Application Profile updates that can come out any time and not just when a driver update is released. The download for it can be found here,

and the link and version number will change as it is updated. Also you can find FAQ regarding th profiles and what they fix here,

Last night I updated my ATI's 10.4 drivers for my XFX 5850. So far, so good. I read these drivers fixed many issues from 10.3. I'm glad AMD made the changes for those fixes.

I don't know if you use HDMI out to your TV but after i updated to 10.4 (Radeon 5850) I was not getting any audio from my TV. In control panel>sound the AT HDMI Output device would show IF the HDMI cable was not connected, as soon as I connected o the TV the device disappeared and I would have no audio. I had to download the ATI HDMI Audio drivers from RealTek:
